MONTEBELLO, Los Angeles County — Montebello Senior Citizen Center, 115 S. Taylor Avenue, is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. for services and activities supporting adults 50 years old and over.

Which activities are available?

The city advertises health screenings, exercise and leisure classes, social events and help finding resources for food, housing, health care and transportation. Many programs are drop-in, but some require advance registration.

Does the building close entirely at 5 p.m.?

No. The Senior Center also describes evening recreational classes from 6 to 9 p.m. that can serve participants of other ages. Banquet halls and selected rooms may be available for rentals under separate policies.

Can staff help apply for benefits?

Staff provide referral and liaison assistance, but an information desk does not guarantee approval or immediate funding. Some services for residents age 55 and older are offered by appointment or walk-in under separate eligibility rules.

Call (323) 887-4575 to confirm the specific class, meal service or assistance program before traveling. Holiday schedules and registration policies may alter the ordinary hours.
